This project involved replacing an existing garage with a contemporary extension designed to maximise the internal layout, featuring a new entrance hall, garage, utility room, bedroom, and multi-purpose space. This carefully crafted addition complements the brickwork of the existing house while introducing a contrasting yet cohesive aesthetic, with a contemporary palette of black timber and red pigmented zinc. The proposal is timber-framed construction with high levels of insulation, with a glazed link connecting the old and new. PVs are maximised across the roof areas, and an extensive water storage solutions are incorporated into the design.
